Climb26 is proud to launch the National Innovation Competition, sponsored by Barclays Innovation Banking, to spotlight and support some of the UK’s most exciting innovation-led businesses.
The competition has been created to recognise ambitious businesses that are developing bold ideas and have clear potential to scale. Whether through technology, research, intellectual property, or entirely new ways of solving problems, this is an opportunity for pioneering companies to gain national recognition and connect with the people who can help take them further.
This is far more than a pitching competition. It is a chance to step into a powerful ecosystem built for growth.
Ten businesses will be selected from across the UK and will be showcased at Climb26, the UK’s festival of business growth and innovation, taking place on 1–2 July 2026 at Leeds Dock.
Finalists will receive a range of high-value opportunities, including:
- A main stage showcase at Climb26
- Two-day access to the event
- One-to-one mentoring with Barclays and ecosystem specialists
- Connections to investors, partners and growth-focused organisations
- Access to dedicated Barclays contacts and support programmes
- Official recognition as one of Climb26’s innovation-led businesses of the year
The competition is open to innovation-driven businesses from across the UK, including start-ups and scale-ups, university spinouts, deep tech ventures, and businesses developing differentiated IP-led or technology-enabled products and services.
From early traction to scaling momentum, we are looking for businesses that are ready for what’s next.
